Is therapy a lasting solution to every problem?

Yes and no. Therapy eliminates mechanical problems such as disc hernia, but it leaves behind a “wounded” area which you need to keep healthy. The same goes for spondylosis, e.g. it is successfully treated by therapy but doesn’t permanently disappear and requires periodic maintenance. Therefore, the back needs to be maintained to be healthy, maintenance also prevents other particular varieties of disorders.

Why does it take more than one treatment?

It is clear that ailments related to the skeletal and muscular systems haven’t just appeared overnight, therefore they can’t be removed overnight either. Every ailment/disease we experience is a bad habit of the body. The same applies to the mechanical disturbances. When a chiropractor puts the vertebra back into place, the muscles and ligaments that surround it need to return to the old position, therefore the reason why it is necessary to maintain the correct position.

Recipe for healthy back?
